DISHWASHER #3 / VENT WASTE VENT DIAGRAM
I had feared installing the dishwasher because it is not located next to the sink. Normally a dishwasher simply dumps into the disposal under the sink and takes advantage of the existing kitchen drain and venting system. In my case, I needed to install the dishwasher opposite the sink. In the old days you had to two options: (1) install a traditional auxiliary vent that either ties into the main vent or goes all the way through the roof by itself; or (2) install a loop vent. Both options are bad.
