If you had a problem with this step, check your /Dialog/Layer and make sure that it looks like Figure 7.1. Note that the New Layer is shaded blue to show that it is active. Also note that the Black rectangle is on the bottom of the New Layer. This indicates the direction of our drag was from the Bottom ("Background" near the Shuttle) to the Top ("New Layer" near Saturn). If your Black rectangle is on top, you started your drag at the Top (Saturn).
